For the study year 2026, the University of KwaZulu-Natal will be open for both undergraduate, postgraduate and international applicants to apply for admission.

University Of KwaZulu-Natal Online Application Closing Date For 2026-2027
- The online application window for the academic year 2026 will be closing on the 30th of September 2025. All applications are to be submitted to UKZN before the deadline because applications that will be submitted after the proposed date will not be processed.
University Of KwaZulu-Natal Online Application Fee For 2026-2027
- Applicants applying for admission into the University of KwaZulu- Natal will need to pay a non-refundable application fee of R210 for early submission and R420 for late applications.
International Applicants applying to UKZN for 2026 are to pay an application fee of:
- SADC and rest of Africa R490
- Outside Africa $153
University Of KwaZulu-Natal Online Application Requirements 2026-2027
The following are the requirements needed to be submitted during the application process to UKZN 2026:
- Must obtain at least 40% for Home Language
- Must obtain at least 50% for FOUR other subjects excluding Life Orientation
- Must obtain at least 30% for ONE other subject
- Must obtain at least 30% in Language of Learning and Teaching (LOLT) of the Higher Education Institution where you intend studying
- Must pass at least 6 out of 7 subjects
