NMU Late Applications 2026-2027

If you missed the initial opening date for the application for the academic year 2026-2027 at the Nelson Mandela University, you do not need to worry about it because NMU will be accepting late applications for the year 2026. Early application submission for the late applications at NMU is on the 1st of August 2025, with the application deadline for late applications on the 30th of September 2025.

During the late application form submission, applicants are to make sure they submit and upload all the needed and required documents. Failure to submit the application documents and requirements will mean your application will be rejected. If your Applicant Score (AS) and subject-specific % pass marks do not meet the direct entry requirements for your chosen programme, you will need to consider another qualification, as NMU no longer tests applicants for admission.

Prospective students must meet the minimum statutory entry requirements based on the National Senior Certificate (NSC) or equivalent school-leaving certificate for admission to a higher certificate, diploma or degree qualification, to be considered. Submission of a completed application form does not mean that you have been accepted as a student or that you may register.
