Nelson Mandela University has started accepting applications for the 2026-2027 academic year for undergraduate and postgraduate studies. NMU applications are open from April 1, 2025, and will close on September 30, 2025. Applications that will be submitted to Nelson Mandela University must be submitted before the deadline to avoid any disappointment.
If you are applying to NMU 2026 as an international applicant, you will need to submit your applications by the 30th of September 2025, because late applications will not be accepted. Sometimes, making a higher education decision is quite difficult, which is why Nelson Mandela University has simplified it into four main steps. With these simple steps, applicants can apply for admission into any course they want to study. Firstly, applicants need to find out what they want to study and if they qualify, then they move on to applying, after which they must wait to see if they have been admitted/selected and then and finally, they can register/enrol on the university.
South African prospective students applying for admission into the 2026-2027 academic year at the Nelson Mandela University will not pay any fee for submitting their applications, but international applicants are to pay a non-refundable application fee of R500.00 as an NMU 2026 application fee.

Therefore, the PGCE qualification is listed under the ‘Undergraduate’ tab on the online application system and not under the Postgraduate tab. Visit the Official Website Of NMU for More details.
